Cheryl Curry

Cheryl Curry, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education and Theater Arts.  Cheryl’s 29 years of experience in education as a teacher, counselor, and school administrator give her the unique ability to help clients and parents bridge a successful partnership with their school. 

Cheryl is DBT-informed (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and trauma-informed therapist. She has worked with pre-adolescents, adolescents and young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, and self-harm. Cheryl has facilitated workshops, psychoeducational, and therapeutic groups for parents and educators on such topics as how to ride the wave of adolescence,  bully prevention, understanding anxiety and depression, college and career readiness, and executive functioning skills.

Cheryl’s approach is open and friendly. She enjoys building easy and supportive relationships with her clients, and then focuses on building their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, interpersonal skills and decision-making skills. Her relaxed and friendly nature and ability to make her clients feel at ease is an asset when it comes to building trust and empowering her clients. Cheryl believes that parents are an essential part of the growth process, and welcomes them as her partners in supporting their child’s wellness.
