Letter Leap is designed to help young learners master the building blocks of literacy. Each session blends guided discovery, explicit multisensory instruction, and playful games to make learning the alphabet fun and memorable. From recognizing and naming letters to sequencing them with confidence, students will LEAP ahead in their alphabet knowledge and grow into confident, joyful letter learners!
Sound Detectives
It’s time to discover, hear, and play with the sounds in words!
In this session, students become detectives exploring the building blocks of spoken language. Through playful games, rhymes, syllable counting, sound segmenting, blending, and phoneme manipulation, children sharpen their phonemic awareness. In addition, sock puppets and oral play make the experience extra fun and memorable!
Handwriting Heroes
Strong handwriting builds confidence!
With formal, multisensory handwriting instruction, students practice letter formation, spacing, and fluency while strengthening fine motor skills. Engaging tools and creative practice activities help transform messy marks into legible, confident handwriting.
Word Wizards
Watch writing skills take shape!
Students grow as writers through grammar practice, word choice activities, and sentence expansion. Using Winston Grammar (a multisensory grammar card system) and a step-by-step writing curriculum, learners build paragraphs and compositions with confidence. Overall, from revising to editing, students discover that writing can be both structured and creative.
Super Spellers
Unlock the code of English spelling!
With 87% of English words following reliable patterns, students will use an explicit, systematic approach to master phonological patterns, spelling rules, and strategies for those tricky irregular words. Each child builds a custom spelling notebook while reinforcing skills through fun games, diacritical coding, and reading connections.
Comprehension Champs
Build deeper understanding and critical thinking!
Students strengthen comprehension by activating and expanding prior knowledge and practice metacognitive strategies during reading. With unique vocabulary introduction, fluency practice, and opportunities for meaningful writing and higher order thinking, learners dive into unit studies or novels while learning to think deeply and independently about what they read.
