Dr. Rona Green

Dr. Green earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology specializing in child and adolescent development, from Capella University. She is also a licensed professional counselor, LPC. In addition, she holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master’s Degree in Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business.

Dr. Green has 27 years of experience working with children as an educator, providing an invaluable background in understanding children’s social, emotional, and mental needs. Her experience runs the gamut and involves teaching ages ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade as a Band director, English Language Arts Teacher, Reading Teacher, College Career Readiness Teacher, School Counselor, and Spiritual Guidance Counselor. She is certified in domestic violence while working in various agencies. Dr. Green employs a person-centered approach, CBT, strength-based counseling, psychosocial dynamics, RBT, play therapy when working with children, and Bronfenbrenner’s Theory as a lens to understanding children. Her experience with non-profit organizations involves helping children with a range of diverse issues, including ADHD, anxiety, grief, depression, social skills, self-esteem, self-harm, suicide, and trauma.
