(Social Skills and Self-Confidence Group for Teens)
Group Description: Hey, you’re not as terrible as you think. And, you’re not alone. It’s really helpful to meet other people, like you, who have a hard time socially. It’s very normal to have problems, but also very hard. Spend time with like minded individuals, while learning and practicing social skills. Learn to embrace your strengths and navigate differences with others.
This group focuses on helping you with social challenges. You’ll learn things like: feeling confident to tell someone no, how to handle disagreements and differences, truly relaxing around other people, avoiding the absorption of your friends’ problems, and communicating better. Being different doesn’t need to be a social barrier.
Goals: Learn new communication skills, practice social skills, learn to set healthy boundaries, identify social difficulties, build self-confidence, learning about your own social presentation, and stick up for your wants and needs.
Is This Group For You: Any gender may attend. You must be 11-18 years old.
Sorry, You Cant Attend If: You have been psychiatrically hospitalized and/or expelled within the past 3 months.
The information you provide is confidential and solely for preparation and screening purposes.
