Family – Parent Therapy

Family Parent Therapy

This is usually an adjunctive treatment to individual therapy, and occur occasionally to help parents learn and reinforce their child’s new behaviors and skills. Outside of this review, goals may include:

  • Resolving family conflict
  • Reviewing parenting strategies
  • Completing homework assignments
  • Improving communication
  • Eradicating ineffective or hurtful ways of relating
  • Developing skills of compromise
  • Endowing parents with proper authority
  • Learning and implementing behavior modification strategies
  • Managing divorce situations: Separate & effective parenting
