Dr. Hassan von Schlegell

Dr. Hassan von Schlegell has worked in a variety of clinical and educational settings supporting the mental health needs of students and parents. His clinical internship was completed at Westbrook Therapeutic Day School allowing for him to meet requirements for clinical psychology licensure. After completing his internship, Dr. von Schlegell worked in a public high school as a school psychologist for several years before shifting his attention and professional focus to more administrative duties.
Dr. von Schlegell has worked in the private practice setting focused on adolescent treatment utilizing a Cognitive-Behavioral orientation. In addition to his direct work with teens and families, Dr. von Schlegell has provided administrative support for an organization he co-founded serving hundreds of clients a week. Dr. von Schlegell has overseen special education services for both a school district and a special education cooperative over the past 15 years. As a result of his continued work in the educational setting and clinical setting, the connection between the child’s/adolescent’s various spheres of life related to school, family and clinical support has remained an integral aspect to his work.

Outside of his work life, Dr. von Schlegell values the power of movement from yoga, running and lifting. In addition, Dr. von Schlegell does enjoy watching the movement of his two children in their athletic endeavors.
